Mon 30.08.2010 _Music Music is the best. I love listening to music. That's how I play, I actually listen to the music and hear the missing bits in my head and my fingers do the rest. There's not really much to say about music, it's not something that can be formulated in thought. People talk and yet the melody of speech says more than the words. It's nice to see and hear people doing video blogs on the internet. I'm considering putting up some videos of myself ranting and rambling on about nothing, just to share. Even if 1 person reads this or watches such a video it's worth it.

Sat 07.08.2010 _Free Time it seems there is less and less free time. I guess it's because we find more and more things to do. Just in the same way as "the more you know, the more you know there is to know". I can understand why ignorance is bliss. Wizsom is something else, knowledge and information put to the test of time. We can only describe a smell or a taste with association, and to really know, one must experience it.

Wed 02.06.2010 _Languages English, German, Morsecode, html, javascript, php, c++, python. All kinds of languages for all kinds of purposes yet all have a similar function, to transfer information from one medium to another. php for example is a languages that runs on the internet servers and builds stuff, like webpages, that are connected with stuff like databases. Javascript, is a language that is embedded withing a webpage and runs on your machine and effects the content of the webpage. In this way several languages are used alongside each other to complete the task. This very page is built using php, so i can add these text notes without having to upload any pages. It's all done online. That's where a lot of my time has been going. Interestingly enough learning the language and it's grammar are one thing, actually solving the problems of how to use it is another. Even with English you can say one words and be missunderstood, and the spoken sentance (executed code) does something different to what you want it to do! Morse code is the most fundamental languages of all, so I'm working at some ways of interfacing it with the exsisting stuff.

Sun 30.05.2010 _HumTab I thought I's share some geeky news with you... I have been working on a Guitar Tablature Sequencer. Yes, I know there's guitar-pro and tuxguitar, yet these do not have the functins I'm looking for. Now playing guitar is my Life and Writing software is a hobby so it's an odd situation. Basically, I wanted a simple ASCII Guitar Tab editor. Of course it is possable to write ASCII tab on any text editor, so this is tatally simple, yet my tabber would make it far more simple to input the guitar notes. So I began coding in Javascript and came up with my first contraption. It wasn't bulletproof or foolproof had handfuls of bugs but as long as I knew how to work my contraption there was no worries. After all it was no rocket science lol. I got excited and took it one step further and got it to convert the tab into a midi song file and actually listen to it! But then it Came to me that there was no standard timing symbols for Guitar tab. Just strings and fret numbers and a few informational symbols. Why not? Guitar Tab is a great tool for beginners because its really simple. Most begginers lear by ear, and just need to know the chords, so timing was unnecessarily confusing. More advanced Musicians read sheet music which has all the musical data on it. But Tab has some great advantages for guitarist as it reveals the positions on the fret board without the need to work out which note on which string. After looking at Tab again I realised it would be easy to add timing by using colons semicolons dots commas etc. So I did just that and then implemented it and the thing is working. All the necessary tools are inputted by keys on the numberpad so the Guitarist can keep his left hand playing while the right hand is typing in notes and timing sybols. As soon as I make it a bit more stable I'll put up the link so you can see on earth I'm talking about.

Fri 28.05.2010 _Software Most of you don't know that I write software in my spare time. I'm not very good and not very disciplined so I would only say I code more as a hobby. These days I'm coding in Javascript and php, mainly because it all works online. The cobination of the two offers a wide range of posabilities. I'm constantly in this learn phaze with these programming languages, researching each function or method as it is needed. So my code tends to be a bit unorganized and could be much better written and optimized. Many software has already been written, why write more? I spent a long time "googling" keywords, searching things that I need. Most of the time I would be distracted and waste more time interested in something completely different, other times I would find a really cool program that does a million things but still lack the few things that I need. Bottom line it should be Freedom Software and opensource, so that other people can use it freely. It should work on all platforms. Usually commercial software is top of the search results list, as it is well advertised and made itself popular to the masses. I don'T mind paying money for a program, yet from my experience the whole payment, registration, security and legal element makes the software inacessable. Most people missunderstand the term "Free software" which is about "Freedom" not "price". So it takes my days to search for something, install it, try it out, not find the function i need, de-install it and continue searching the next program. Eventually I stop searching and write my own program. I usually make something so basic that other people don't see the beauty in it, and wonder why I bothered.

Thu 13.05.2010 _Book of Faces So I just got myself a facebook account, after years of resistance. I love the idea that people can find each other. I just don't like the idea of being at the mercy of some private corporate company. The other thing is that you get well distracted and stuck on the site clicking little love hearts and only saying a quick hello to people you never seen for years, who you never knew that well in the first place. No problem, meeting people you don't know is the a wonderful mystery.

Sun 20.12.2009 _Climate Change How about changing a climate change. Take seriously what others laugh at, laugh at that what is taken seriously. Oh and don't forget to look for yourself too. Comfort is not surity. Watch out... it could be a widespread little trick. Keep your ears and your mind open. Maybe you think you know, or maybe you know that you don't know, maybe you haven't thought about it. Sometimes a lack of interest is Ignorance. Life is not a consumer platform, a supermarket for the human race where everything is owned the by some multimillion dollar family corporation, it'not a tourist attraction working holiday. Neither is it a prison... Don't imprison yourself... Even the free can't visit you there.

Tue 21.07.2009 _Thingk Do you care about what others think of you? or do you care how other feel? How can you know what others think. You can only think you know and the answers you get are from your own mind, your own thoughts. Yes for sure we can make judgements based on morals, fashions, political correctness and IQ, but thats really that's just cultural. If you go to another country, another culture you will be laughed at for the way you dress, speak and act. There's the saying "when in Rome, do as the Romans do", what if Romans come to you... would you do as they do? Culture is not your friend.

Tue 09.06.2009 _Why would anyone want to know? Does anyone really wan't to read what I write? You know It's no big deal, it's just the internet. I'm sat here writing thats all. The only difference is that you can read it too. And that's what I like about internet, that we can share. I like people. I like to share, yet what is sharable. So many questions that you possably really don't care about. But that's ok, I don't think I'll lose any respect for talking about what you or others may or may not want.

Sat 06.06.2009 _Observations Are you watching carefully, at everything in your scene, or just that what other point out? Have you got an opinion or was it tele-programmed into you? Do you just take everything for granted? Are you riding with civilisation all the way to domestication and over socialisation? Do you know the difference between natural food and processed food? It's only a matter of time when we realise what is really good, and bad for us. It is only a matter of time before our enemy become our friend.

Wed 27.05.2009 _Old Days I wonder if I'm just old fashioned. I sometimes miss the good old days. We used to dress up and go out and have all kinds of adventures. I guess you can still do that these days but something has changed. We used to meet at the record shop and buy the latest rock album on vinyl. Now most record shops have closed. We used to stand in smoky pubs and now it seems that the essence has left the air. Is it all just nostalgia? No! absolutely not! the esscence is in the roots. The dreams we had can be real, at least a little bit. I can only tell you folks we're in for some great times. It's going to be a bumpy ride!

But lets not start ourselves a load of hassle just because we are in desperation for something we can't even explain. Fri 10.10.2008 _Intense concentration I sure you know how it is when you are working on some detailed creation, like a complicated puzzle, working so intensly to complete something, then you realise that you have spent hours, days, weeks, or years like a watchmaker or a bomb-desposal-squad or an astronaught. Tue 19.08.2008 _Spoilt for Choice Look at the amount of web features, design tools and internet community stuff available to the public. I have often wondered which ones are the right ones, checking the functionallity of some cms (content management system)always confronted with another new computer word like permalink or rss feed. So many firms offereing their services, so many platforms. There is really only one platform... Internet. The ability to send data from 1 computer to another. At the end of the day everything else is added padded comfort. Most often the padding is sold as the internet it's self. I like the variety, I like it to exsist, and yet I feel a strong urge to round up those elements that i need once and for all. Besides I kind of doomed myself into programming most of my own designs which includes feeds, streams and cms of my own design ;)

Fri 08.08.2008 _The Script I promised myself never to get involved in script programming, such as javascript,php or cgi. These languages are complex to understand, even more mind boggling writing and damn right painful getting them to work correctly. You only have to leave one dot or a semicolon in the wrong place and the whole thing fails! I programmed in "BASIC" when I was a kid, making little games and programs to calculate stuff, and the logic of thinking is similar to more modern script languages. I have recently begun writing my own php scripts. php is a way of programming HTML (web pages) from the server. It has many advantages over static pages. Well now I'm writing that shit my life has become more complex but I do get more results.

Mon 21.07.2008 _Webmaster What a glorious title for such dry work. In first line I am artist, and as you know that covers all abstract creations. Painting, Music, Sculpture, Literature, Collage and many many more including the art of programming. This page have I created. Every button every stitch. Every action every switch. So my conclusion as webmaster is that the goal is achieved, now it's time for the unartistic part... "completion"... removing mistakes, improving images and design elements. Stabile, Compatabile, Individual, flexable, accessable and simple.

Mon 21.07.2008 _Screen Size This is a kind of tough one! Most people have 1024pixels width, some have more... some have less! I've chosen about 800pixels wide but still used the remaining outside area. And What about the people with handheld computers? I thinks even if you have a big screen it's more convenient not having it filling all the wondow all the time. My films and images can be viewed in full screen anyway, and the radio played is made to be real mini! Well settles that.
